MeetYourGuide.ai — Terms of Use

1. Introduction to the Platform

MeetYourGuide.ai operates as an active, time-boxed bidding marketplace connecting clients who need artificial intelligence solutions with AI Guides. The platform is designed solely to facilitate introductions; it does not process job payments, manage project escrow, or oversee any services rendered beyond the initial introduction.

2. User Roles and Responsibilities

Clients: You may register, post jobs, receive bids, and select an AI Guide at no financial cost.

AI Guides: You participate in a token economy, purchasing tokens to bid on client jobs and generate leads. You agree to providing a Free Discovery Session. By accepting a job bid, the selected AI Guide agrees to provide one FREE Discovery Session of 30–60 minutes (remote or in-person, as agreed) to the client. This session is the first point of contact after the introduction is made. All subsequent fees, scope of work, and ongoing arrangements are agreed directly between the client and the guide — MeetYourGuide.ai is not party to those negotiations.

3. Client Terms: Job Postings and The Discovery Session

The Intro Window: Once a job is posted, it remains open for a strictly enforced 4-day (96-hour) window.

The Discovery Session: By clicking “Select for Discovery Session” on a bid, the Client agrees to hold a 30 to 60-minute initial consultation with the AI Guide. This session is entirely free of charge.

Off-Platform Agreements: Any fees, contracts, deliverables, or ongoing work agreed upon after the Discovery Session are handled entirely off-platform between the Client and the AI Guide. MeetYourGuide.ai is not a party to these agreements and assumes no liability for the outcome of the work.

Job Editing: Clients may edit a job posting freely while it has zero bids. Once a bid is placed, the job posting is locked.

4. AI Guide Terms: Token Economy and Bidding

Token Purchases: Tokens are purchased via Yoco at a flat rate of R50 per token.

Bidding Mechanics: A strictly enforced limit of 3 bids applies to any single job. Submitting a bid requires the AI Guide to escrow 5 tokens.

The 5-4-1 Deduction Logic: Token consumption is determined by the outcome of the bid:

• Win: If selected, all 5 escrowed tokens are captured by the platform as a lead-generation fee.
• Lose: If the Client selects another Guide, 4 tokens are refunded to the Guide's balance, and 1 token is captured as an administrative fee.
• Timeout: If the 4-day window expires with no selection made by the Client, 4 tokens are refunded, and 1 token is captured as an administrative fee.
• Client Cancellation: If a Client cancels the job before making a selection, a full 5-token refund is issued.
• Guide Withdrawal: An AI Guide may withdraw an active bid, resulting in a full 5-token refund, and may choose to re-bid later.

5. Ratings and Reviews

Following the completion of a Discovery Session, Clients are prompted to rate the AI Guide on a 1.0 to 5.0 scale across four dimensions: Overall Rating, Value for Money, Responsiveness, and Quality of Work. Clients may also submit a public written review. Ratings are locked upon submission and cannot be edited by the Client or disputed publicly by the AI Guide. The platform reserves the right to void ratings at the discretion of administrators. Any badges, skill levels, or star ratings displayed on the platform are based solely on user-generated feedback and algorithmic site usage; they do not constitute an endorsement, guarantee, or background check by MeetYourGuide.ai.

6. Relationship of the Parties

MeetYourGuide.ai is an introductory marketplace provider. No agency, partnership, joint venture, employer-employee, or franchisor-franchisee relationship is intended or created by these Terms of Use. AI Guides operate as independent third-party professionals or students. The platform does not direct, control, or supervise the AI Guides in the performance of their off-platform services, nor does the platform set their working hours, project rates, or methods of execution.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

MeetYourGuide.ai provides the platform on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. The platform makes no representations or warranties regarding the reliability, capability, background, or technical proficiency of any AI Guide. MeetYourGuide.ai expressly disclaims any liability for the quality, legality, or outcome of the services provided during the Discovery Session or any subsequent off-platform engagements. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MeetYourGuide.ai shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data loss, or business interruption, arising from the connection made through this platform or the services rendered by the AI Guide.

8. Indemnification and Off-Platform Disputes

Because MeetYourGuide.ai is not a party to any contract, payment, or service agreement made between a Client and an AI Guide following the Discovery Session, the platform will not mediate, arbitrate, or involve itself in any disputes between users. Users agree to release MeetYourGuide.ai from any claims, demands, and damages (actual and consequential) of every kind and nature, known and unknown, arising out of or in any way connected with such disputes. Furthermore, you agree to indemnify and hold MeetYourGuide.ai harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms, your interaction with another user, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
